The human Noggin recombinant protein consists of a non-glycosylated, non-disulfide-linked homodimer consisting of two 206 amino acid polypeptide chain.

Noggin, a protein that binds to and antagonizes bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) ligands of the TGF-β family, is crucial for maintaining undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells in vitro and preventing spontaneous differentiation. Essential for ectoderm-derivedstructure development, skeletal patterning, and neurogenesis, Noggin also influences chondrogenesis, osteogenesis, and joint formation. Additionally, it promotes the dopaminergic differentiation of embryonic stem cells and supports the survival of dopamine neurons.
