The human SHC1 recombinant protein consists of a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 494 amino acids (1-474 aa).

SHC-transforming protein 1 (SHC1) is a member of the SH2 domain family, playing a crucial role in regulating apoptosis and drug resistance in mammalian cells. As a signaling adapter, SHC1 links activated growth factor receptors to various signaling pathways. It is expressed in neural stem cells but is absent in mature neurons, highlighting its specific function during early neural development.
