Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is a glycoprotein produced mainly by the fetal liver, yolk sac, and gastrointestinal tract during development. In adults, elevated AFP levels are significant for diagnosing liver cancer, germ cell tumors, and monitoring prenatal health for conditions like neural tube defects. Research on AFP spans cancer biology, developmental biology, immunology, pro-inflammatory, autoimmune diseases, and stem cell studies research.

  • Purity: Hydrophobic, ion-exchange and affinity chromatography, sulfate fractionation, and MonoQ-FPLC. SDS-PAGE, staining CBB R/G250: 98% purity, single band (70kDa) at load 25 μg/lane. Analytical MonoQ-EPLC: single peak. Binding on immobilized anti-AFP monoclonal antibody: 99% of protein bound.
  • Reconstitution: Reconsitute in PBS with pH 7.4.
